This privacy policy describes how we capture and process your personal data, in relation to the outside perspective project.

We may modify this privacy policy at any time, and will endeavour to update you with changes.

Information we collect

If you register for our community, we will capture and store the following information about you:

  • Email
  • LinkedIn Profile

We ask for this information so we can contact you (email address) and review your profile (linkedin) if you’re applying for the community.

How we collect your information

  • If you’re applying to join our community, we’ll invite you to complete a form.

How We Use Your Information:

We’ll use your email address to contact you regarding the community application, to keep you updated about our work on a periodic basis, or if you’re contacting us regarding our services.

If we want to use your information for any other purpose, we will ask you for consent and will use your information only on receiving your consent and then, only for the purpose(s) for which grant consent unless we are required to do otherwise by law.

How We Share Your Information:

We will not transfer your personal information to any third party without seeking your consent, except in limited circumstances as described below:

  • We store your contact details using “Airtable” - a third party tool which helps us manage data, sort of like google sheets. You can read how they process our data in their (“Data Processing Addendum”)[https://www.airtable.com/company/dpa]

  • We store your email address in “Buttondown” - an platform which helps us send you emails. I’ve just asked them for their Data Processing Addendum, and I’ll add it here when I have it.

We may also invite you to Slack, which is the community platform we use, but you will be registering your account directly with them, not us.

We may also disclose your personal information for the following: (1) to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order or other legal process; (2) to enforce your agreements with us, including this Privacy Policy; or (3) to respond to claims that your use of the Service violates any third-party rights.

If the Service or our company is merged or acquired with another company, your information may be one of the assets that is transferred to the new owner. Unlikely to happy though, and we’ll give you the opportunity to leave before anything like that happens.

Retention Of Your Information:

We’ll keep your data whilst you’re a subscribed member of the project. If you choose to unsubscribe, we’ll delete all the data we hold on you immediately.

Your Rights:

You can request a copy of all of the data we hold on you at any time, or request that we delete all of the data we hold on you. Just email us at [email protected]

The security of your information is important to us and we will use reasonable security measures to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration of your information under our control. However, given the inherent risks, we cannot guarantee absolute security and consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.
