Freelance Cultural Researcher / Ethnographer in Seoul at Untangld

We’re looking for a Seoul-based researcher to lead qualitative and ethnographic research, uncovering rich insights into Korean culture, consumer behaviour and emerging trends.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and conducting ethnography, including in-depth interviews, observation and cultural immersion, ideally supported by expertise in semiotics and cultural analysis.

They must be based in Seoul and fluent in both Korean and English, with the ability to translate nuanced cultural findings into clear, compelling insights.

Experience helping Western brands and businesses understand and navigate Korean culture, consumer attitudes and behaviours would be a significant advantage.
