Freelance Senior Creative Strategist
Why this role exists
Xfinity Creative is scaling origination inside the in-house agency to deliver culturally relevant, strategically sound communications aligned to brand strategy and business objectives.
This role helps convert complex marketing briefs into inspiring, actionable creative strategy and briefs at pace.
We need a creative strategist who can produce sharp, inspiring briefs, and generate springboards and guide creative teams to ideas that can flex across channels.
What you’ll do
- Turn business problems into creative springboards: clear, inspiring, and that offer a fresh take on the problem that unlock imaginative work under our brand platform, Imagine That.
- Help teams get to ideas (not scripts): develop ideas can travel across channels, with TV as one expression, not the default, and distill the idea’s essence.
- Partner with creatives in early development: shape and pressure-test territories, sharpen storytelling, and support faster, more confident decisions.
- Bring human + cultural understanding: inject relevant consumer truth, culture/category learning, and outside-in inspiration, quickly and credibly.
- Protect platform coherence: ensure work ladders to Imagine That while allowing smart variation by audience and context.
- Raise the craft bar: create beautifully structured, polished decks and present strategy with clarity and energy to senior stakeholders.
What good looks like
- Teams leave briefing with clear direction and fresh springboards, not “straight comms.”
- Fewer rounds in early creative development; stronger ideas earlier.
- Work feels original, on-platform, and scalable beyond a single TV script.
Ideal background
- 7–10+ years in creative/brand strategy, ideally across in-house agency and/or strong agency environments
- Exceptional brief writer and creative partner; strong taste and edit skills
- Proven ability to build high-craft decks and present persuasively
- Comfortable moving fast in ambiguous environments without sacrificing quality
Day Rate: 800-1200USD/day, Senior Strategist, 7-10 years experience
